RULES:<br />

1. All entries in group classes must have shown<br />

in individual class.<br />

2. Open Class premiums can be picked up from<br />

7-9:00 P.M. Sunday in the fair office. Anyone<br />

that loads out before 7:00 P.M. Sunday will<br />

forfeit all premiums, and could be barred<br />

from showing the next year.<br />

3. Class 3 and 4 may be combined to meet<br />

Breed Association Classes.<br />

4. A milk out shall be left to the judge’s discretion.<br />

5. The following milking rules will apply: 1. No<br />

cows will be milked that have been treated<br />

with antibiotics. Samples of first milking will<br />

be kept to verify milk quality. 2. Butterfat<br />

will only be tested on tank sample. No individual<br />

butterfat tests or adjustments will be<br />

made.<br />

6. Samples will be checked daily for the presence<br />

of antibiotics. Any exhibitor supplying<br />

milk in which antibiotics are found will be<br />

barred from selling milk the remaining days<br />

of the Fair and could be held financially responsible<br />

for any milk that would have to be<br />

dumped.<br />

7. The company purchasing milk received at the<br />

milking parlor will pay the Hardin County<br />

Dairy Service Unit secretary and he will issue<br />

checks to individual exhibitors. Cost of milking<br />

supplies will be deducted and pro-rated<br />

from sellers.<br />

NOTE: Through the courtesy of Circle R Corporation,<br />

a plaque will be presented to the<br />

Champion Supreme Female.<br />

CHILDREN’S SHOWMANSHIP – 12:00 P.M.<br />

(No entry fee or advanced entry needed)<br />

For all boys and girls 5-8 years old who are<br />

too young to join 4-H. Child may show one<br />

dairy feeder or dairy breeding animal - not both.<br />

Child must be capable of controlling animal<br />

without help to participate in this show. Animal<br />

need not be owned by exhibitor’s family. Animal<br />

must also be shown in Open Class or Jr. Fair<br />

show, no haul-ins allowed. Awards and ribbons<br />

to all entries. Limit of size of animal left to PAR-<br />

ENTS’ DISCRETION.<br />

NOTE: Through the courtesy of the <strong>Kenton</strong><br />

Rotary Club, each participant in the Children’s<br />

Showmanship will receive a free dish of ice<br />

cream.<br />

The Hardin County Dairy Service unit will<br />

provide a trophy to each participant.<br />
