Fair exhibits. Exhibitors must present their<br />
stamped health certificates, obtained from the<br />
veterinarian to the superintendent upon request.<br />
24. All Jr. Fair Exhibitors are responsible for the<br />
care of market livestock until release. Animals<br />
will be released due to sickness only under orders<br />
by a veterinarian or a superintendent.<br />
25. Any exhibitor requiring the services of the<br />
Fair Veterinarian<br />
A parent or guardian must be present at the<br />
exhibitor’s pen to authorize treatment. All veterinary<br />
services must be paid for at the time of<br />
service. The Fair Board is not responsible for<br />
the payments of the veterinary services rendered<br />
to exhibitors.<br />
26. Hardin County Junior Fair is open to all 4-H<br />
members enrolled in Hardin County 4-H<br />
Clubs and FFA and FHA members residing in<br />
Hardin County or within the Hardin County<br />
School System. See the appropriate department<br />
for membership eligibility rules.<br />
27. Junior Fair exhibitors are limited to showing<br />
or selling market livestock in only one county’s<br />
junior fair livestock sale. They may however,<br />
show breeding or non-market animals or<br />
still projects in more than one county if they<br />
are in 4-H or FFA in separate counties as long<br />
as they do not show the same animals or projects<br />
in different counties.<br />
RULES<br />
28. Priorities Groups as pertaining to pen and<br />
stalls are as follows: 1st priority to Junior<br />
Hardin County Fair Exhibitors, 2nd priority to<br />
Senior Hardin County Fair Exhibitors, 3rd priority<br />
to all others.<br />
29. All exhibitors, their immediate family and<br />
any other parties involved in the unethical fitting<br />
and showing of an animal will be barred<br />
from exhibiting or showing at this fair and will<br />
forfeit all premiums, prize money and awards<br />
won in any junior fair and/or open class divisions.<br />
SHOULD FRAUD OR DECEPTION AND<br />
PROOF, AS DETERMINED BY <strong>THE</strong> AGRI-<br />
CULTURAL SOCIETY, BE DISCOVERED<br />
AFTER <strong>THE</strong> ANIMAL OR ANIMALS HAVE<br />
BEEN SHOWN AND PRIOR TO <strong>THE</strong> SALE,<br />
such animal(s) shall not be permitted to<br />
sell. The animals placing next in line at the<br />
show shall move up.<br />
SHOULD VIOLATION BE DISCOVERED AF-<br />
TER <strong>THE</strong> SALE, all sale money shall be returned<br />
to the buyer and the animal, carcass<br />
or carcass value shall be returned to<br />
the exhibitor. All placings in show will<br />
stand. NO animals will move up. Any carcass<br />
suspected of being tampered with or<br />
suspected of containing drugs will be detained<br />
until the investigation is complete.<br />
IF <strong>THE</strong> CARCASS IS CONDEMNED at the<br />
packing plant for any reason, it shall be<br />
grounds for disqualification in the on-foot<br />
and carcass division of the show. Additionally,<br />
all premiums and sale money shall be<br />

forfeited and the loss of the animal be incurred<br />
by the exhibitor.<br />
RULE VIOLATIONS<br />
In the question of a rule violation, the following<br />
due process will be used: The exhibitor<br />
and/or parties involved will be questioned<br />
by fair officials. If it is felt a violation has occurred,<br />
fair officials will make recommendations<br />
to the designated committee of the<br />
agricultural society which is appointed to<br />
that particular department. After the committee<br />
hears the allegations and/or evidence,<br />
they will decide if the case should be<br />
brought before the full board of directors.<br />
In the decision of allegations being brought<br />
before the board, all parties involved will be<br />
notified of a meeting date with all parties<br />
having the right to present their views<br />
and/or evidence.<br />
Upon hearing the case, the fair board will<br />
make a ruling.<br />
When satisfactory evidence has been obtained<br />
by the fair board that any of the livestock<br />
rules have been violated, the exhibitors<br />
and/or exhibitor’s family may be barred<br />
from showing in any future agricultural<br />
fairs. The minimum number of years for a<br />
disbarment is three (3) years before the<br />
right to a review. In case any premium shall<br />
have been awarded to animals shown in violation<br />
of this rule, the fair board will require<br />
the exhibitor to refund all premiums,<br />
trophies, awards, ribbons and sale money<br />
under each violation. Unless fraud and/or<br />
deception are involved, all championship<br />
placings stand.<br />
SHOW RULES:<br />
30. In livestock shows, unless fraud and/or deception<br />
are involved, all championship placings<br />
will stand. If fraud and/or deception are<br />
involved, the animals placing next in line in<br />
that show shall move up. In the case of market<br />
animals, they shall not be permitted to sell<br />
or will be asked to return all sale money<br />
above market price if already sold. The Grand<br />
and Reserve Champion Market Steers, Dairy<br />
Steers, Market Hogs and Market Lambs will<br />
be slaughtered immediately after the fair. The<br />
