A GP for the last 19 years, Derek has been medical<br />

officer for a number of different organisations,<br />

including Cambridge City FC, Seijinkai Karate-do<br />

Association and the Senzala Capoeira Organisation,<br />

before joining British Swimming. He has recently<br />

retired from teaching and training karate after 14<br />

years. In his spare time, Derek is a keen musician<br />

and plays guitar and keyboard in a rock band.<br />

Lisa is an advanced practitioner in an Accident and<br />

Emergency department. She has been involved with the<br />

British Disability team for four years and Athens will be<br />

her second Paralympic Games.<br />

Nicki has been involved with disability swimming since<br />

February 2002. She manages a private physiotherapy<br />

clinic in London and her clients include athletes and<br />

actors in West End shows.<br />

Paul qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 and became<br />

involved with disability swimming 18 month ago, after<br />

being asked to cover a training camp in Florida, which<br />

he thoroughly enjoyed. Away from work, he enjoys<br />

ru<strong>gb</strong>y union, football, obscure music and he supports<br />

Arsenal.<br />
