6.1.7 Sun control limit "OPEN" This function only makes sense if you have selected a slat product (external
venetian blind or internal venetian blind) as the product type. This specifies the
brightness from which the slats of external or internal venetian blinds are to be
turned to a horizontal position, for example in order to let more light into the room
when the sky is covered but bright. The setting range is from 0 - 99 klx. If you do
not want to evaluate the limit "OPEN", you can also set the value "0"
(---) here. Proceed as follows in order to change the setting value:

Change to the sun control menu as described above. Turn the function dial
until the following display appears:

■ Change the setting values by using the buttons — + and then press the
button | (save). If you want to exit the menu without saving the changes,
press the } button twice consecutively. This completes the process.
6.1.8 Sun control delay "OPEN"
This function only makes sense if you have selected a slat product (external
venetian blind or internal venetian blind) as the product type. A delay period can
be assigned to the "OPEN" limit so that the slats are not turned open immediately
whenever the intensity of brightness changes (for example if the clouds only
become denser temporarily). This smooths the movement behavior of the sun
protection and thus increases the comfort. The turn command is triggered and the
slats are turned open if the limits are reached or if the value drops below these
limits for the duration of the delay period. The setting range is from 0 - 99
minutes. Proceed as follows in order to change the setting value:
■ Change to the sun control menu as described above. Turn the function dial
until the following display appears:

■ Change the setting values by using the buttons — + and then press the
button | (save). If you want to exit the menu without saving the changes,

6.1.8.1 The "OPEN" limit
The following instructions for the setting of the "DOWN", "OPEN" and "UP" limits
have to be observed in order for the sun control to function properly in connection
with the "OPEN" limit:

The lowest value must always be the value for "UP", for example 5 klx
The highest value must always be the value for "DOWN", for example 30 klx
The value for "OPEN" must be set between these values, for example 10 klx.
TIP
In order to find the optimal setting for your sun protection
system you should test various values on a bright day with
varying cloud situations. This is the only way of obtaining the
optimum result.
