Chapter 6: 1-28
MAKING ENEMIES 1-9
1. King Darius could not trust his own presidents and officers.
2. King Darius saw something extraordinary in Daniel. (vs.3)
3. Because Daniel was a man of integrity, the king promoted Daniel
to be prime-minister. (vs.2)
4. Because Daniel was promoted, the other presidents and officers
hated Daniel.
5. Daniel's enemies spied on Daniel, in an effort to
trap Daniel.
6. The jealous presidents and officers couldn't find anything about
Daniel's life to criticize, so they attacked his God.
7. The presidents and officers flattered King Darius and the king
liked it.
8. Darius signed the law making him a god for 30
days.

1. Daniel had a defiant, disciplined and daily prayer life.
2. Daniel made no attempt to hide his prayer life from his
enemies.
3. Daniel prayed on his knees and in his house.

4. Daniel's prayer routine did not change, even when it was made a
capital crime.
5. Even though Daniel was in shadow of the lion’s den, Daniel's
prayer included thanksgiving.
6. Prayer was more precious to Daniel than life.
7. When the presidents and officers found Daniel breaking the law,
they wasted no time telling the king.
8. Daniel never argued or pleaded his case before the
king.
SHUT YOUR MOUTH 16-31
1. Trapped by his own law, the king was forced to order Daniel to
the lion’s den.
2. King Darius could not sleep all night, but Daniel made the lions
his pillows. (vs.18)
3. "O king, live for ever" was Daniel's polite and respectful
greeting.
4. Because Daniel’s unshakeable faith, it opened the door for a
miracle. (vs.22)
5. The sins of these presidents and officers affected their families.
Evil deeds often backfire on those who plan cruelty. (vs.24)
6. Daniel’s unshakeable faith made a huge impact on King Darius.
(vs.25-27)
7. Daniel was consistent in His service to God. He did not let any
person affect how he followed God.
