The resemblance of this language to the two passages
in the
Ignatian letters, Trail. lo, Smyrn. 2 — 5, more especially the latter,
will be evident at once. Not only
is there the same insistence on the
extension of to ^okCiv, as the logical consequence of their creed, so
that their salvation, nay they themselves, are reduced to mere apparitions;
