A. O. Smith ProMax SL “side loop” gas water heaters are designed with side-mounted recirculating
taps for installations with combination space heating/water heating applications (such as with air
handlers) or any system requiring a recirculating hot water loop.
All ProMax SL water
heaters are equipped
with side-mounted
recirculating taps, like
the standard-vent
model shown above.
ProMax SL water heaters are available in Standard Vent (including self-cleaning DynaClean II
models), Direct-Vent, Power-Vent and Power Direct-Vent models. All models include the following
features:
• Commercial-grade PermaGlas lining for longer life
• Durable, tamper-resistant brass drain valve
• High-temperature DynaClean II diffuser dip tube reduces lime and sediment buildup
• Eco-friendly Green Choice gas burner reduces NOx emissions by 33% compared
to standard burners
• Factory-supplied temperature & pressure (T&P) relief valve
• Optional circulating loop connection assemblies available
• 6-year warranty on tank and parts

automatic sediment cleaning system)
