The year at a glance
The LVPEI pyramid of service delivery touches all levels of society, from remote
rural villages to busy urban centres. From primary eye care to advanced tertiary
(quaternary), we have provided eye care services to thousands of people,
regardless of the ability to pay. This year, we reached a total of 1,312,035 people
including 111,287 children, of whom almost a million (934,433) received eye
care services entirely free of cost. Of these 535,431 were covered as part of
our community programs and 665,317 through our higher-level facilities.
