ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
That the request for the Town to brick-pave the grass verge adjacent to 445 Cambridge
Street be approved and the offer to pay 50% of the project cost be accepted from the
property owner.

During discussion, Members were not prepared to support the request to brick pave the
grass verge.
The Administration recommendation was then voted upon and lost 0/5.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
Moved by Cr Langer, seconded by Cr Walker
That the request for the Town to brick-pave the grass verge adjacent to 445
Cambridge Street not be approved and the offer to pay 50% of the project cost not be
accepted from the property owner.
During discussion, Members noted that the Town will be extending the street scaping,
including brick paving, further into Birkdale Street on the north side of Cambridge Street.

Moved by Cr Grinceri, seconded by Cr Langer
That a further clause be added to the motion as follows:-
(ii)
consideration be given to funding in the 2013/2014 Budget for improvements to
the south side of Birkdale Street, similar to those on the north side.

the south side of Birkdale Street, similar to those on the north side.
