Even after the acquisition of former Christian Majer GmbH & CO KG by <strong>Manz</strong> Automation<br />
AG in 2008, you can rely on 90 years of experience in the field of machinery<br />
and equipment for the manufacture of cardboard and foil <strong>packaging</strong> materials.<br />
<strong>Manz</strong> Automation AG, based at Reutlingen/Germany, is a globally leading high-tech<br />
mechanical engineering company. The company, which was founded in 1987, has<br />
developed over recent years from an automation specialist into a provider of integrated<br />
production lines for the photovoltaic industry (crystalline and thin film), and for the<br />
manufacturing of flat screens. The development and manufacturing of production<br />
systems for lithium-ion batteries comprises a new business area. The Group of<br />
companies, which is managed by founder Dieter <strong>Manz</strong>, and which has been listed on the<br />
Germany stock market since 2006, currently manufactures in Germany, China, Taiwan,<br />
Slovakia and Hungary. There are also distribution and service branches in the USA, South<br />

All these machines and equipments stand for a program contributing several decades<br />
of experience and know-how in building machines for packing means made of paper<br />
and cardboard. The steadily grown know-how on materials and technologies to shape<br />
those materials to leak-free containers is still applied when designing machines for<br />

• Spiral-wound round cans, with spiral- or parallel-label, for various applications and<br />
filling goods, like e.g. Instant products, snack-food (chips), spices, tobacco, etc.<br />
As food <strong>packaging</strong> additionally equipped with a barrier layer to fulfil the extremely<br />
high demands in leak tightness<br />
• Wound cardboard boxes for cheese (over-cap type), produced on our well proved<br />
production line including integrated ring winder, lid forming and assembling machine<br />
• Drawing round cardboard boxes for cheese (with collar) for the packing of processed<br />
cheese triangle, produced on our Double Press for synchronous production of top and<br />
base part as well as assembling machine<br />
• Two-part ice cream lid, produced on our production line including paper unreeling and<br />
glueing unit, spiral winder, knife cutter plus ring cutter and lid forming machine
