Roberto Antonini<br />
Roberto Antonini has been a journalist at Swiss Radio since 1984. A Swiss citizen born in 1957, he<br />
received his degree in History from the Sorbonne, University of Paris 1 and in Anthropology from<br />
René Descartes, University of Paris V. He is married to Sylvie Camus and has two children, Céline and<br />
Raffaele. He speaks <strong>Italia</strong>n, French, German and English. From 1991 to 1995 he headed the<br />
International Department. As a special envoy. He witnessed the end of Apartheid in South Africa. He<br />
currently specializes in African, Middle-Eastern and U.S. politics. From 1995 to 2002, he was a<br />
correspondent in Washington DC, and in 2002 he was appointed Editor in Chief at Swiss Radio. Since<br />
2008 he has been responsible for the production of in-depth programming (reportages/major<br />
interviews). His official position is Features Editor. He has interviewed, among others, Bill Clinton,<br />
John McCain, Itzaak Rabin, Yasser Arafat, Pervez Musharraf, Benazir Bhutto, Nelson Mandela,<br />
Kenneth Kaunda, Desmond Tutu, Willy Brandt, Helmut Schmidt, George Soros and Paul Krugman.<br />
He has been awarded several prizes, including <strong>Prix</strong> Suisse, Schweizer Journalist Prize, Grand <strong>Prix</strong> of<br />
French-language public radio stations, Premio Associazione Ticinese dei Giornalisti ATG, and Swiss<br />
Media Award.<br />
Ferenc Markovits<br />
He has been working for the Hungarian National Radio since 1977 as editor – play director, and as<br />
program editor since 2011. Hundreds of radio plays, documentary and feature programs are linked to<br />
his name. Among others he produced radio plays out of the works of Péter Esterházy, Pál Závada,<br />
Lajos Parti Nagy, Tibor Déry, István Örkény, Mihály Kornis, Péter Hajnóczy, Gyõzõ Határ. In the<br />
early 90s, he edited the documentary series ‘Fültanú’ (Ear witness) which dealt with historical themes<br />
considered as taboo till the regime change, using mostly archive footage blacklisted at that time. In<br />
2001, he produced the radio play series Russian for beginners and advanced learners, the story being of<br />
the soviet troops stationed in Hungary. In 2003, he edited a two-part documentary ‘Titkok légijárata’<br />
(Flights of the secrets), dealing with the airplane crash Malév of still unclear reasons in 1975 in Beirut.<br />
In 2004, he made a feature of Hodosan Roza’s book stories of Samizda (Szamizdatörténetek). He has<br />
made a TV film about the air catastrophe in 2006 and in 2007 directed an eight-part series radio play of<br />
the work of Jenõ Rejtõ : Bone Brigarde (Csontbrigád). Since May <strong>2009</strong>, he is the managing editor of the<br />
‘Hely’ (Place), a daily broadcasted report program. He is the idea giver and program editor of the youth<br />
fantasy series ‘Time Courier’. He has received several professional radio prizes for his works.<br />
Irene Omelianenko<br />

magnétiques » and «Bon plaisir” units • 1985-1997 : creates « Clair de nuit » together with Jean<br />
Couturier • 1998 :joins Laurence Bloch’s documentary team • 2003 : produces « The Vincendon et<br />
Henry tragedy» directed by François Teste. This documentary is selected for the 2003 Premios Ondas •<br />
2004 : awarded Longeur d’ondes Festival “Coup de chapeau”for her productions as a whole • 2006 : «<br />
Pavillon 38 », directed by François Teste, is nominated at <strong>Prix</strong> Europa • 2006 :producer coordinator<br />
within the documentary unit of « Sur les docks » created by Pierre Chevalier • 2007 : The submissive<br />

Carmen Veronica Scarisbrick<br />
Veronica Scarisbrick has been working at Vatican Radio’s English Programme since 1984 in her<br />
capacity as journalist and producer of documentaries and feature programmes. She specialises in<br />
features focusing on specific areas of interest including historical documentaries regarding the Church,<br />
with an expertise in the popes of the twentieth century. Much of her work explores the arts: music, art,<br />
literature and the Latin language. She is also part of a broadcasting team covering live papal events.<br />
Over the years Veronica has also been an English Programme correspondent for the Vatican Radio<br />
teams accompanying Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI, on their travels to other countries. Her last<br />
such assignment was in 2011 to Germany. Her most recent reporting job abroad was in January 2013<br />
with the Holy Land Coordination group of Bishops from across Europe and North America when she<br />
travelled to Israel, Palestine and Jordan. In the past she has also represented Vatican Radio at a<br />
governmental level both in Hong Kong and Finland producing documentaries focusing on the<br />
challenges facing the Churches there. She has also taken part in Vatican Radio/ UNICEF coproductions<br />
reporting on child trafficking in Nepal and post-apartheid violence in South Africa. In<br />
addition to English Veronica is fluent in French and <strong>Italia</strong>n.<br />
Elisabeth Stratka<br />
Mag. Elisabeth Stratka, born in Klosterneuburg near Vienna on August, 29th 1967. Studies of German<br />
Language and Literature and of History of Art at the University of Vienna. Since 1991 working with the<br />
Feature Department at ORF Radio (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) as a journalist and editor of<br />
various programs on books and documentaries. 1997 „Kritikerpreis des Österreichischen Verbandes<br />
der KulturvermittlerInnen“ (Critics‘ Prize of the Austrian Association of Cultural Mediators), 2002<br />
„Radiopreis der Erwachsenenbildung“ (Radio Prize of Adult Education), 2007 Entry in the <strong>Prix</strong> <strong>Italia</strong><br />
„Lost for the world“, 2007 jury member for the Featurepreis der Stiftung Radio Basel (Radio<br />
<strong>Documentary</strong> Prize of the Radio Basel Foundation). Currently responsible for a weekly series of radio<br />
documentaries „Hörbilder“ (54 minutes) and since 2011 Chairwoman of the Ake Blomström Memorial<br />
Prize.<br />
Kristina Žantovská<br />
MgA. Kristina Žantovská She graduated from Academy of Performing Arts, specialisation theatre<br />
dramaturgy. Up to the year 1989 she worked as freelance, then she participated in publishing the<br />
lifestyle magazine UM, she was co-founder of The Czech Cultural and Information Centre in New<br />
York (1993 – 1995), she worked as an editor of the magazine Respekt, she co-operated with Theatre<br />
Pod Palmovkou and Theatre Na Zábradlí and for four years she worked as a literary manager in<br />
Theatre Na Vinohradech. In the years <strong>2009</strong> – 2011 she participated in developing new television<br />
formats and film production of Media Pro Pictures company. She worked in Czech Radio 3 - Vltava in<br />
the years 2000-2008 as the editor-in-chief of News and Cultural Journalism Department. Currently she<br />
has been working as the head of the Production Centre of Czech Radio.
