possessing a modulus of elasticity similar to that of dentin, preserving the tooth’s
natural colour, and exhibiting good micromechanical retention when cemented
within the root canal.
LIGHT-POST ® ENDO LIGHT-POST ®
Introduced in 1999, the 2-stage LIGHT-POST marks the
continued evolution of the RTD fiber post technology and
product line. Made from the same exclusive Quartz fibers as the
AESTHETI-PLUS post, the LIGHT-POST offers comparable mechanical
properties, a neutral translucent shade, AND the added convenience of
curing light energy transmission. With the LIGHT-POST, the bonding primer
and the (light-cure or dual-cure) resin cement can be expediently cured
simultaneously….in the canal….through the post!
Dr. Salam Sakkal, Professor of Endodontics at University of
Montreal, developed this post design with the endodontist
in mind. Based on familiar, standard ISO (#90,#100,#120) guage files
and reamers, the narrow, tapered radiopaque Endo Light-Posts are most
often indicated for use in the narrowest canals, as found in trifurcated teeth
and lower incisors. In the general dental practice, the Endo Light-Post is
an excellent adjunct to the original 2-stage Light-Posts, which are larger
in diameter. And like the Light-Posts, the Endo version are made from
translucent quartz fibers.
