TESCARA ATL
TESCERA Fiber Reinforcement Materials
U-BEAM in conjunction with other Fiber Reinforcement Materials provides high-strength,
rigid reinforcement for indirect composite inlay/onlay bridges. U-BEAM’s metal-free design
provides aesthetic beauty that blends into the dentition. When utilized with TESCERA
ATL and accessories, U-BEAM inlay/onlay bridges are uniform, porosity-free restorations
that prevent flexing, delamination and cuspal fracture. U-BEAM and TESCERA ATL are
available exclusively from BISCO!
U-BEAM: U-shaped, uni-directional, pre-stressed, quartz fi ber reinforced
beam for bridges. It is resistant to twisting and fl exing
RODS: Uni-directional, pre-tensed quartz fi ber reinforcement bars for
posterior and anterior bridges
FEATURES Features & Benefits
Aesthetic reinforcement
The U-BEAM is “U” shaped with an
“I-Beam” effect
U-BEAM / Rods are pre-tensed quartz
fibers in a resin matrix
Cuts easily for a variety of applications
CLINICAL TECHNIQUE
BENEFITS
Blends naturally with dentition - no opaquing/
masking needed
Prevents bridges from flexing which prevents
cuspal fractures
Rigid U-BEAM & Rod combination provides
the strongest reinforcement
Minimizes tooth reduction; noninvasive
replacement over pontic space
ORDERING INFORMATION
TESCERA U-BEAM 3mm STARTER KIT
1 U-BEAM (3mm (W) x 100mm (L)), 1 Rod (1.4mm
(OD*) x 100mm (L)),1 Bundle (100mm (L)),
Instructions/MSDS
TESCERA U-BEAM 4mm STARTER KIT
1 U-BEAM (4mm (W) x 100mm (L)), 1 Rod (2.2mm
Conservative inlay preparations are indicated
whenever possible, especially when preparing
minimally restored teeth. These are ideal
preparation recommendations. Teeth presenting
with large restorations will differ as necessary.
Prepare the occlusal of the bicuspid/molar to
a depth of 1.5-2mm in depth with a 2-3mm
buccolingual width at the isthmus. Extend
preparation minimally into the occlusal surface of
the tooth.
The proximal box should be at least 3mm wide
for the 3mm U-Beam and 4mm wide for the 4mm
U-Beam buccolingually with an axial depth of at
least 2mm. The gingival floor should be at least
2.5mm from the occlusal surface.
All internal line angles should be rounded. All
external line angles should be right angles without
bevels. (Preparations can be made with tapered
round ended diamond inlay burs such as an 845
KR (Brasseler) or an 1171 carbide bur).
U-BEAM GAUGE
(Assists With Proximal Box Design)
5 6
The U-Beam Gauge will determine if you have
prepped the proximal box properly. One side of
the U-Beam Prep Gauge is 4mm and the other
side is 3mm.
After creating the stone model, the laboratory
will place the U-Beam and begin fabricating the
metal-free bridge.
