EYE ON EPASS
In the coming weeks! …
The Spring 2012 semester is bringing with
it an abundance of change to the EPASS
tutoring program. In response to a constantly
growing demand for content specific support
Tutor Talk
in the introductory biology, chemistry and
physics courses, as well as, organic chemistry,
we are providing weekly drop-in tutoring in
the Math and Science Reading and Tutoring
This portion of the newsletter is usually devoted to
introducing you to the EPASS tutors, however we thought
that we would share some feedback from the students
utilizing the EPASS tutoring program. This feedback
was provided by a survey distributed by the tutors to the
students that they worked with.
room. These drop-in tutoring appointments
will provide students with the opportunity
to ask short, content specific questions to
tutors without scheduling an appointment.
DROP IN TUTORING SESSIONS
Math & Science Reading and Tutoring Room
Sunday - 6 to 8pm
“EPASS is an absolutely
great program and
essential to the Emory
community. Good work.”“
“The two tutors I worked
with we’re fantastic
resources. When
there weren’t enough
appointment times, they
added extra hours or
made time during their
weekends. I thought that
showed how committed
they were to helping their
students learn.”
“My tutor was amazing
and really assisted me
through my coursework
difficulties. She was
encouraging, open to
questions, and went
above and beyond in
tutoring.”
“Working with my tutor
improved my test grade
by nearly 30 points.”
“My EPASS Tutoring
experience made me
want to become a tutor”
Monday thru Wednesday - 7 to 9pm
