single security or instrument, the financial instruments attached thereto shall be taken into account. For the<br />

securities or instruments whose terms of issue provide for an adjustment of their interest rate by reference<br />

to market conditions, the residual maturity until the date on which the rate is adjusted shall be considered.<br />

The base currency of the Fund is Euro.<br />

<strong>TEMPLETON</strong> EURO MONEY MARKET FUND<br />

The Fund’s investment objective is to maintain a high degree of capital preservation and liquidity whilst<br />

maximising returns in the Euro currency by investing in a portfolio of high quality Euro denominated<br />

debt and debt related securities, money market securities and cash denominated in Euro.<br />

The Fund invests in high quality transferable short term fixed and floating rate debt, debt related and<br />

money market securities including (but not limited to) commercial paper, floating rate notes, certificates<br />

of deposit, repurchase agreements, debentures, bonds, cash and deposits.<br />

These investments shall be denominated in Euro and up to 100% may be issued or guaranteed by sovereign<br />

governments and/or related entities, supranational entities, corporations and financial institutions. All<br />

investments at time of purchase shall have a minimum rating of A1/P1 or equivalent or, if unrated, be<br />

declared to be of comparable quality by the Investment Manager.<br />

The Fund only holds securities which at the time of acquisition have an average initial or residual<br />

maturity not exceeding 397 days, taking into account any connected financial instruments and/or the<br />

terms and conditions governing those securities provide that the applicable interest rate is adjusted at<br />

least annually on the basis of market conditions. The Fund may not hold any floating rate instrument<br />

with a residual maturity of greater than two years. For this purpose, residual maturity is the earlier of an<br />

instrument’s final legal maturity or its expected average life calculation.<br />

The Fund’s portfolio has a weighted average maturity that does not exceed 60 days.<br />

The base currency of the Fund is Euro.<br />

<strong>TEMPLETON</strong> EUROLAND FUND<br />

The Fund’s investment objective is capital appreciation, which it seeks to achieve primarily through a<br />

policy of investing in equity and debt obligations of any issuer in a member country of the European<br />

Monetary Union including corporations and governments, whether denominated in Euro or relevant<br />

national currency, and in stock or debt obligations denominated in Euro of any other issuer.<br />

To ensure eligibility for the French Plan d’Epargne en Actions (PEA),the Fund invests at least 75% of its<br />

total assets in equity securities issued by companies which have their head office in the European Union.<br />

Since the investment objective is more likely to be achieved through an investment policy that is flexible<br />

and adaptable, the Fund may seek investment opportunities in other types of transferable securities, such<br />

as preferred stock and securities convertible into common stock of any such issuers as described above.<br />

The base currency of the Fund is Euro.<br />

<strong>TEMPLETON</strong> EUROPEAN FUND<br />

The Fund’s investment objective is capital appreciation, which it seeks to achieve through a policy of<br />

investing in equity and debt obligations issued by European corporations and governments. The Fund<br />

invests primarily in common stocks.<br />

Since the investment objective is more likely to be achieved through an investment policy that is flexible<br />

and adaptable, the Fund may seek investment opportunities in other types of securities, such as preferred<br />

stock, securities convertible into common stock, and fixed income securities, including debt obligations<br />

issued by European governments.<br />

The base currency of the Fund is Euro.<br />
