PROSPECTUS OF FRANKLIN TEMPLETON INVESTMENT FUNDS
Name changes for Funds of the Company
With effect from April 30, 2010, Franklin High Yield (Euro) Fund is renamed Templeton Euro High Yield Fund.
With effect from April 30, 2010, Templeton U.S. Dollar Liquid Reserve Fund is renamed Franklin U.S.
Dollar Liquid Reserve Fund.
With effect from April 30, 2010, Franklin Global Real Estate (USD) Fund is renamed Franklin Global
Real Estate Fund.
Addition of Alternative Currency Class of Shares
The Sub-section “Alternative Currency Class of Shares” of Section “Classes of Shares” is amended to add
the Hong Kong dollar, the Norwegian Krone and the Swedish Krona and shall henceforth read as follows:
Alternative Currency Class of Shares
In respect of some Funds Alternative Currency Classes of Shares are or will be offered in the following
currencies as more fully disclosed in Appendix G to the Prospectus:
• Euro (abbreviated EUR),
• Hong Kong dollar (abbreviated HKD),
• Japanese Yen (abbreviated JPY),
• Norwegian Krone (abbreviated NOK),
• Poland Zloty (abbreviated PLN),
• Singapore Dollar (abbreviated SGD),
• South Korea Won (abbreviated KRW),
• Swedish Krona (abbreviated SEK),
• Swiss Francs (abbreviated CHF),
• US dollar (abbreviated USD), and
• UK Sterling (abbreviated GBP).
The terms and conditions applicable to the Classes of Shares available in alternative currency are the same
as those which apply for the same Classes of Shares offered in the base currency.
The Board of Directors may decide to offer an Alternative Currency Class of Shares in another currency
than the ones mentioned above in which case the Prospectus will be updated.
