Investment Objective and Policies<br />
The Fund's investment objective is to maximize, consistent with prudent investment management,<br />
total investment return through a combination of interest income and capital appreciation.<br />
The Fund seeks to achieve this objective by investing principally in investment-grade fixed or floating rate<br />
debt securities of European corporate issuers and/or non-European corporate issuers with a business<br />
presence in the European region. The Fund may also utilize certain financial derivative instruments for<br />
investment purposes. These financial derivative instruments may be dealt either in regulated markets or<br />
over-the-counter, and may include, inter alia, swaps (such as credit default swaps or total return swaps),<br />
forward and cross forwards, futures contracts, as well as options. Use of these financial derivative<br />
instruments may result in negative exposures in a specific yield curve/duration or currency. The Fund<br />
may in addition, in accordance with the investment restrictions, invest in credit-linked securities or other<br />
