XXI. WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION - Planning

18 Const. of 20 MGD WTP at Bawana. (RS. 225.00 lakh)
The following works will be taken up during the year 2004-05
1. Const. of Raw Water Pump House presetting tanks pumping station complete
near Bawana North Rural Delhi.
2. Const. on 20 MGD WTP at Bawana.
3. P/L/J 600 mm dia PSC/MS water line from Karala OHT to Kirari chowk for
Premnagar Group of colonies in RWS-North.
The work of construction of 20 MGD WTP at Bawana is at its final stage of
completion and will be commissioned as soon as raw water is made available.
An outlay of Rs 225.00 lacs has been is approved for Annual Plan 2004-05.
19. Hydraulic mapping & study of water supply system. ( Rs. 20.00 lakh)
To strengthen the leak detection cell.
A provision of Rs 20 lacs has been made in B.E 2004-05.
20. Public participation & awareness for conservation of water
(Rs.100.00 lakh)
In view of the shortage of water being faced in Delhi, there is a need to educate
the public and create awareness about conservation of this precious commodity.
For this purpose publicity is proposed to be carried out through various audiovisual
media like Television, Radio and Press advertisement and holding seminars etc.
An outlay of Rs. 100 lacs has been approved for Annual Plan2004-05
