XXI. WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION - Planning

There is a proposal to electrify 10 nos. type V Bungalows under construction at
Jal Vihar.
Existing qtrs. At Wazirabad as well as Chandrawal Water Works need major
renovation works which have been included in the proposal.
Accordingly a provision has been made for Rs. 290.00 lac in RBE 2003-04 An
outlay of Rs. 300.00 lakh is approved Annual Plan 2004-05.
6. Laying of water mains in regularized/unauthorized colonies: (Rs. 750 lakh)
For providing water supply in regularized/unauthorized colonies, where development
charges as per revised policy are to be deposited by the beneficiaries and for works of
augmentation of water supply to these colonies. Achievements under this head are
dependent on the public responsible to deposit the development charges.
10 Nos. unauthorized/regularized colonies and 1071 unauthorized colonies which
are under the consideration of Central Govt. for regularization will have to be provided
water supply in phased manner.
During the year 2003-04 water mains were to be laid in left out portions/lanes in
regularized/unauthorized colonies.
The following works will be taken up during the 2004-05
1. Providing/laying 100 /150 mm dia C.I water line for removing contamination
in E-Block Amar Colony, J-IV Kalkaji, & E Block Kalkaji.
2. Connecting of Booster Pumping Station at Four storyed DDA Flats Kalkaji.
3. P/L 150 mm dia M.S pipeline by trench less technology in Hauz Khas & Niti
Bagh.
4. Providing/laying of water line in Chand Nagar, Sham Nagar, Left out lanes of
Vishnu Garden, Rattan Park, Sudershan Park.
5. P/L/J peripheral water mains in Yamuna Vihar NE-II
6. -do- in Sonia Vihar in NE-II
7. -do- in Part of Karawal Ngr in NE-II
