Let technology do the work – featuring the revolutionary
STIHL Easy2Start TM system offered on select chain saws
and trimmers. Easy2Start TM reduces the pulling force
required to start an engine by more than a half, so no more
strong fast pulls on the starter cord. In fact, one slow pull
of the rope is usually all that’s needed, so starting these
tools is almost effortless. It also eliminates the resistance
felt as compression is created in the engine’s cylinder.

Easy2Start TM technology.
The Easy2Start TM system uses dual
spring technology. The operator can
slowly pull the starting cord, which
winds the second spring. When
this spring overcomes the piston’s
compression, it suddenly releases,
starting the engine. This advanced
starting system is designed to make
starting STIHL products fast and easy
for just about anyone.
