23. When responding to a Level 3 – Disaster <strong>In</strong>cident shall<br />

• establish communication with the PCC at local 8–8880 and request personnel and logistical<br />

support<br />

• update the PCC, as required<br />

24. When notified of a Level 3 – Disaster <strong>In</strong>cident shall<br />

• notify the <strong>In</strong>spector – EM&PO and take direction, as required<br />

• contact the <strong>In</strong>cident Commander to receive a situation report on the incident<br />

• determine the needs of the <strong>In</strong>cident Commander and provide support as necessary<br />

<strong>In</strong>spector – Emergency Management & Public Order<br />

25. When notified of a Level 3 – Disaster <strong>In</strong>cident shall<br />

• attend the scene, if required<br />

• if not required at the scene, attend the PCC, when necessary<br />

• reassess the situation upon arrival<br />

26. When notified of a Level 3 – Major <strong>In</strong>cident shall notify the<br />

− Staff Superintendent – Public Safety Operations<br />

− Staff Superintendent – Detective Operations<br />

27. After the at–scene portion of the incident has been concluded shall in consultation with the<br />

<strong>In</strong>spector – EM&PO, the <strong>In</strong>cident Commander, Deputy Chief – Specialized Operations<br />

Command and/or the Chief of <strong>Police</strong><br />

• identify the appropriate support to be given victims and responding emergency personnel<br />

• assist in co–ordinating the demobilization of police resources at the scene<br />
