F. Ongoing review<br />

RECOMMENDATION 84: A follow-up review be conducted—whether by TPS<br />

personnel, by an independent review body or by committee of interested<br />

stakeholders—in five years’ time to assess the degree of success achieved in<br />

minimizing the use of lethal force in encounters between the TPS and people in<br />

crisis, and to make further recommendations for improvement. I recommend<br />

that the results of that review be made public, and that the reviewers be similarly<br />

tasked with developing recommendations for implementation.<br />
