Instructions for preparation<br />
GUIDELINES FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT<br />
The extended abstract is a short paper summarizing your presentation (oral or poster). It should include<br />
figures and references. It will be published on the conference CD-ROM as it is submitted, and given to all<br />
conference attendees. <strong>Extended</strong> abstracts will be edited and reviewed for technical content and selection<br />
purposes. <strong>Extended</strong> abstracts that do not meet the guidelines, although they might be accepted for<br />
conference presentation, will not be published.<br />
Indicate the author making the presentation with an asterisk. This author will be considered the key person<br />
for all contact about the paper. Include all co-authors names, affiliations and email addresses above the<br />
abstract text and below the title.<br />

Up to four pages including text, figures and references<br />

Submission<br />
Please note that the deadline for submission of the extended abstracts is 9 September 2011. Papers<br />
submitted after this date will not be accepted.<br />
To submit your extended abstract, please go to the online paper submission at and follow the online<br />
submission instructions and provide all the information requested.<br />
All submissions will be acknowledged immediately. If you do not receive an acknowledgment within one<br />
week of submitting your extended abstract, please contact the Conference Secretariat as listed below.
Presentation Options:<br />
• Oral presentation – requires an extended abstract/ short paper for publication on the conference CD.<br />
All extended abstracts should be submitted for review by Friday 9 September 2011.<br />
• Poster presentation - requires an extended abstract/ short paper for publication on the conference<br />
CD. All extended abstracts should be submitted for review by Friday 9 September 2011.<br />

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR AUTHORS TO NOTE:<br />
• The preparation and supply of any handouts or other materials used in any presentation will be the<br />
responsibility of the presenter(s).<br />
• As a commitment to attend and support the conference, the presenters of the accepted papers are<br />
expected to register and pay, either for the full-time program or the day of their presentation, before the<br />
expiration of Early Bird Registration (a reminder will be sent to authors in due course). Failure to register<br />
by this date may result in the extended abstract being removed from the program.<br />
• All costs to attend the conference, including the registration fee, travel and accommodation must be met<br />
by the presenter.<br />
