1. Campus Services (all campus students)<br />

• Walk-In tutoring (Suzanne Haas)<br />

o College Reading and <strong>Learning</strong> Association (CRLA) certified<br />

o Peer based<br />

o Tutors qualified by department faculty, tutor supervisor, and GPA<br />

o Tutors are set up, trained, and closely supervised by Suzanne Haas<br />

o Tutor training – academic credit based class instructed by Suzanne Haas<br />

o Study Groups set up as needed<br />

• College Study Strategies<br />

o Instructors: Suzanne Haas, Denton King, and Susan Marshall<br />

o One academic credit counting toward graduation<br />

o Offered first or second quarter<br />

o First and second year students eligible to enroll<br />

• Grad School Test Preparation class (Suzanne Haas)<br />

• Test Lab (for all campus students who speak ESL and student make-up testing)


2. Foundational Program (students with diagnosed disabilities)<br />

Test Lab (Carla Waldo and Jena Stump)<br />

• ADA mandated accommodations of extra time, reduced distraction environment, reader, scribe,<br />

and word processor<br />

• Note taking for qualified students with disabilities<br />

Technology Lab (Susan Marshall)<br />

• Assistive soft and hard-ware for reading, researching, writing, organizing, and academic skill<br />

development<br />

Comprehensive Advisors (Suzanne Haas, Denton King, Lynne Neaves, Susan Marshall)<br />

• review psycho-educational evaluations<br />

• determine and oversee all academic accommodations<br />

• self-advocacy coaching for self-disclosure<br />

• academic advising<br />

• academic, social, and emotional support<br />

• oversee student transition, general functioning, and progress<br />

• link to campus offices for other help<br />

• Referral, recommendation, link, and feedback to and from fee based programs<br />
