3. Trial Details
3.1 Trial Site
The Penrose Travel Demand management (TDM) loop site has been chosen for this trial
because it has a signal controller that is currently connected to inductive loops allowing a
comparison with the contact closure outputs from the Sensys system. There is also an
Ethernet switch present for connection back at the central system to output the speed,
occupancy, classification and count data.
The site also has an existing pole for the access point, cabinet for the contact closure rack
and has good access from the motorway with a parking area behind barriers.
