Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
You will learn how to teach American Red Cross swimming
lessons and safety skills. You do not have to be a lifeguard
to teach lessons. For further information give us a call. The
BCC is currently hiring Water Safety Instructors!! Adults
Welcome!!
DATES: Saturdays, April 5, 12, 19, 26 & May 3, 2008
TIME: 9:45AM-6:00PM with a break for lunch
AGES: 16 years or older
FEES: Residents $102.00 All materials included!
Non-Residents $127.00
NOTE: Participants who are hired and work at the BCC for 100 hours
will have fees reimbursed.
PRE-REQUISITE: Must have completed level 5 of the ARC
learn to swim program, and be able to pass all the skills
through level 6 by the end of class.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, March 21st, 2008
American Red Cross Lifeguarding course
Would you like to become a Lifeguard This is the class for
you! We will be teaching the ARC Lifeguarding course as
well as AED, Oxygen Administration, and Bloodborne
Pathogen Training certifications. You will receive all the
materials needed for this class. Please call the BCC with
any questions!

Swimmers are expected to compete at various swim meets at other
pools throughout the season. All participants must be able to swim
one length of pool (front or back crawl).

In the event that a lesson was
cancelled due to bad weather or
mechanical problems, that lesson will
be made up on the Sunday afternoon
following that cancelled lesson.
