Dear Brocade ® Partner,<br />
This letter is a formal notification that Brocade is initiating the End of Sale (EOS) process for the Brocade<br />
5300 4 Gbps Switches (BR-5320-0004-A, BR-5340-0004-A, BR-5340-1004-A) and 4 Gbps Port on Demand<br />
(POD) (XBR-4900POD-0002) SKUs. The recommended product replacements are the Brocade 5300 8 Gbps<br />
Switches and 8 Gbps POD SKUs, which are now at price parity with the Brocade 5300 4 Gbps Switches and<br />
4Gbps POD SKUs.<br />
Pursuant to the terms of your agreement with Brocade, this letter serves as your formal written EOS<br />
notification, which will allow for appropriate planning and opportunity for last time purchases.<br />
Brocade will provide ongoing service for the installed base of Brocade 5300 4 Gbps Switches and<br />
4 Gbps PODs per the terms and conditions outlined in your agreement with Brocade. Brocade 5300<br />
Switch features will continue to be supported until formal notification of the End of Support for the<br />
operating system and its related features.<br />
The objective of the Brocade account management team is to smoothly transition opportunities to the new<br />
products by planning to the following milestones:<br />
Brocade 5300 4 Gbps Switches and 4 Gbps POD<br />
End of Sale Notification August 31, 2009<br />
End of Sale Final, Non-cancelable, Non-returnable Orders Due September 30, 2009<br />
End of Sale Last Ship October 30, 2009<br />
