Based on solid evidence or tradition that it is the right
thing to do
Brings together team effort around solid principles that
eventually consider care far beyond what the bundle
itself recommends
Encourages the care team to look at the process
involved in a particular aspect of the patients care
The guidelines become a roadmap for the team to
enhance care and measure outcomes
