Using Talksets<br />
Talkset Controls<br />

The 2-Way Talkset Kit (N2605A-137) allows operators at opposite ends of<br />
a copper cable run to coordinate their efforts. The Talkset Kit is inclu<strong>de</strong>d<br />
in the <strong>WireScope</strong> <strong>350</strong> Professional Test Kit, or can be or<strong>de</strong>red separately.<br />

To use talksets for communicating between the ends of a cable run:<br />
1 Insert a talkset’s plug into the talkset jack on the <strong>WireScope</strong>, and the<br />
plug of another talkset into the jack of the DualRemote. See Talkset<br />
jack, on page 1-3, for the jack’s location.<br />
2 Connect the <strong>WireScope</strong>’s and DualRemote’s SmartProbes to the ends<br />
of a cable run.<br />
3 Speak and listen as with any telephone headset.<br />

The <strong>WireScope</strong> talksets have two controls:<br />

��������������<br />
• The thumbwheel in the insi<strong>de</strong> curve of the control housing<br />
controls the earpiece volume.<br />
• The switch on the outsi<strong>de</strong> curve of the control housing switches<br />
the microphone off.<br />
