Indicators<br />

Scroll: The Scroll button scrolls through the diagnostic indications.<br />

(See Diagnostics, on page 1-19.)<br />

Pair Status Indicators<br />

The pair status indicators turn green or red at the end of a test to show<br />

the status of each pair. A red indicator means the associated pair failed<br />

the current test.<br />

Warning Indicators<br />

The warning indicators <strong>de</strong>note conditions that might prevent or impair<br />

testing.<br />

Hub/NIC Detected: The Hub/NIC Detected indicator means the<br />

DualRemote <strong>350</strong> is connected to a hub/Switch port or NIC port, instead<br />

of to a port connected to the <strong>WireScope</strong> <strong>350</strong>. [This function is not yet<br />

supported.]<br />

Voltage Warning: The voltage warning indicator means the<br />

DualRemote <strong>350</strong> is connected to a line which has a potentially damaging<br />

voltage present. This condition usually occurs when attempting to test a<br />

line that is connected to a telephone switch.<br />

Calibration Required: The Calibration Required indicator means the<br />

DualRemote <strong>350</strong> is not calibrated to the <strong>WireScope</strong> <strong>350</strong>. The autotest will<br />

not execute until the calibration is performed.<br />

Battery: The battery indicator shows the current state of the<br />

DualRemote <strong>350</strong> battery charge.<br />

When an external charger is supplying power to the DualRemote:<br />

• The Battery indicator is steady green when the battery is charging.<br />

• The Battery indicator flashes rapidly green when the battery is<br />

fully charged. It may flash slowly if it is cooling between charging<br />

cycles.<br />

When no external charger is connected to the DualRemote:<br />

• The Battery indicator is dark when the battery is operating<br />

normally.<br />

• The Battery indicator is red when the battery charge is low.<br />
