Fiber SmartProbe +<br />

Installing a set of Fiber SmartProbes transforms the <strong>WireScope</strong> <strong>350</strong> into<br />

an optical fiber power meter and loss meter and cable length meter, for<br />

certifying optical fiber cabling. Fiber SmartProbes support 25<br />

network-specific certification tests, including 1000BaseSX and<br />

1000BaseLX. Each Fiber SmartProbe + can both transmit and receive, for<br />

single-end or double-en<strong>de</strong>d testing.<br />

Fiber probes are sold in pairs, in these configurations:<br />

• Singlemo<strong>de</strong> 1310 nm<br />

• Singlemo<strong>de</strong> 1550 nm<br />

• Multimo<strong>de</strong> 850 nm<br />

• Multimo<strong>de</strong> 1300 nm<br />

Multimo<strong>de</strong> Fiber SmartProbes have LED signal sources, and a range of<br />

4 km in length for 850nm and 10 km for 1300nm.<br />

Singlemo<strong>de</strong> Fiber SmartProbes have Class 1 laser signal sources, and a<br />

range of 50 km in length.<br />
