Certifying a Network<br />
The Expert mo<strong>de</strong> Tools menu inclu<strong>de</strong>s Certify Network, which lets you<br />
test a cable for conformance to different network standards.<br />
To certify a network:<br />
1 Connect the <strong>WireScope</strong> and DualRemote to the cable.<br />
2 On the Expert mo<strong>de</strong> Tools Menu (see page 6-18), press Certify<br />
Network. The Certify Networks Setup screen displays.<br />
3 Press a standard in the list to select it. A checkmark appears next to<br />
each selected standard.<br />
4 To test the network to the selected standards, press Start Test. The<br />
test executes, and <strong>WireScope</strong> displays a Pass or Fail screen.<br />
You can save and view <strong>de</strong>tails of the test results as with any test by<br />
pressing Details. See Saving Test Results, on page 5-3, and Viewing<br />
Result Details, on page 5-5.
