Setting Network Limits<br />

2 On the Autotest Setup screen, press Edit Settings. The Autotest<br />

Settings screen shows a menu of parameters and functions.<br />

3 Press the name of the probe, then press View. The Probe Information<br />

screen displays, with information on the probe inserted in the<br />

<strong>WireScope</strong>.<br />

4 If you <strong>de</strong>sire to check the probe test count before each test, press<br />

Check Probe Test Count and enter the limit to be tested against.<br />

5 To view information on the probe installed in the DualRemote, press<br />

the DualRemote tab. The Probe Information screen displays<br />

information about the probe in the DualRemote after running an<br />

Autotest.<br />

6 If you <strong>de</strong>sire to check the DualRemote probe test count before each<br />

test, press Check Probe Test Count and enter the limit to be tested<br />

against.<br />

The <strong>WireScope</strong> <strong>350</strong> can <strong>de</strong>termine compliance with signal to noise ratio<br />

(SNR) requirements for a variety of popular LAN technologies. To do<br />

this:<br />

1 In Expert Mo<strong>de</strong>, press Autotest on the Main Menu. The Autotest<br />

Settings screen displays.<br />

2 On the Autotest Setup screen press Edit Settings.<br />

3 On the Autotest Settings screen press Network Limits. Then press<br />

Edit.<br />

4 On the Networks Setup screen press on the appropriate technology<br />

for which you want to certify the tested cabling. A red check will<br />

appear in each technology selected. Other inclu<strong>de</strong>s a variety of<br />

legacy network standards.
