<strong>Employment</strong> Contract<br />

§ 1<br />

Mr. «form of address/title»«first name»«last name» is hereby employed as a research<br />

associate at the <strong>Ruhr</strong>-<strong>Universität</strong> <strong>Bochum</strong> from «commencement of <strong>contract</strong>» to «termination<br />

of <strong>contract</strong>».<br />

The employment relationship is temporary due to «temporary reason».<br />

§ 2<br />

§ 3<br />

The employee is employed as a part-time employee with «working hours per cent» (=<br />

«working hours target») of the average regular weekly working hours of a corresponding fulltime<br />

employee. The amount of these working hours to be dedicated to teaching activities is<br />

based upon the teaching obligation order; currently it is X hours of teaching.<br />

The employee is assigned to salary bracket «classification» of the TV – L.<br />

The employer is authorised to assign the employee a different task in the same salary<br />

bracket for official reasons.<br />

§ 4<br />

Adjustments of this classification due to the coming into effect of the new salary order may<br />

also be effected across the salary bracket (Section 17 Sub-Section 4 TVÜ-Länder).<br />

Until the new salary order comes into effect all classifications are preliminary and do not<br />

constitute protection of legitimate expectations or acquired rights (Section 17 Paragraph 3<br />

Sentence 1 TVÜ-Länder).<br />

§ 5<br />

The employment relationship is defined according to the Law on Scientific Fixed-Term<br />

Contracts (Wissenschaftszeitsvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG) and the Public Sector Collective<br />

Agreement on Länder (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder, TV-L), the<br />

Public Sector Collective Agreement on the Transfer of Employees to the TV-L on Länder and<br />

the Regulation of Transitional Law (Tarifvertrag zur Überleitung der Beschäftigten der Länder<br />

in den TV-L und zur Regelung des Übergangsrechts, TVÜ-Länder) as well as collective<br />

agreements complementing, modifying or replacing the TV-L or the TVÜ-Länder in the<br />

version currently in force in the area of the Tariff Community of German States and North<br />

Rhine Westphalia.<br />

§ 6<br />

The following subsidiary agreement is agreed upon: Place of employment is the <strong>Ruhr</strong>-<br />

<strong>Universität</strong> <strong>Bochum</strong>.<br />

§ 7<br />

Modifications of or additions to this employment <strong>contract</strong> including the subsidiary agreement<br />

as well as agreements upon further subsidiary agreements only become effective if they are<br />

agreed upon in a written form.<br />

The application from «date of application» is a part of the employment <strong>contract</strong>.<br />

Each <strong>contract</strong> party receives a copy of this employment <strong>contract</strong>.<br />
