miniature mice, handcrafted
in the USA by the Petersen
family since 1972. Annette
Petersen crafted her first little
mouse nearly four decades
ago, and today is joined in the
wee mouse world by Annette,
Willy and Donna, the next
generation of Petersens. They
describe their creative process
this way. "We make the mold,
cast it, and a little mouse
begins to emerge. Meticulous
hand-painting and an enormous
amount of patience and time
brings each sculpture to life".

small town of Carlisle in eastern

So dedicated is Peter Wolf, the German doll
artist, that he seldom leaves his studio except in
search of the rare antique silks and laces that he
uses to costume his dolls. The artist carves each
of his precious dolls entirely by hand, applies the
early-style enamel eyes, and then hand-paints in
an exacting antique manner. His specialty is the
English wooden doll of the 18th century known
as "Queen Anne", and his in-depth research
ensures that each is made exactly like the
originals. With jointed hips to allow each doll to
bow in an appropriate courtly manner, painted
creamy complexions with dot lashes, blush spots
on cheeks and outlined lips, a few even with
beauty spots!

Utilizing classic English sculpting techniques
used as early as the mid-17th century, Peter Wolf
has created yet another vintage masterpiece in
this Mother & Baby. The Mother is an entirely

Amy Goodrich of Ireland doesn’t like to think of
herself as a teddy bear creator so much as just an
artist, and with teddy bears like these you can see
why. In her own words, she states that each bear "is

Though the phrase "Steampunk"
first originated in the 1980’s,
the roots of the genre were first
established in the time period it
emulates, the 1890s, with the works
of early science fiction giants like
H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and Mary
Shelley. Today the genre and its

of entertainment and now, thanks
to Pennsylvanian artists Jim and Tori
Mullan, the genre has infiltrated
