Chapter 1. IBM Flex System FC3171 8 Gb SAN Switch The IBM ® Flex System FC3171 8 Gb SAN Switch is a full-fabric switch that can be converted to a pass-thru module when configured in transparent mode. This product installs in an IBM Flex System chassis. This User's Guide contains information and instructions for managing the IBM Flex System FC3171 8 Gb SAN Switch using QuickTools. This information includes a description of the QuickTools menus and displays, fabric management tasks, switch management tasks, and port management tasks.
