• Create ways to overcome geographic
barriers “Smart Labrador Initiative” was
a good start.
• Develop a more of a co-op approach to
apprenticeship.
• Get career information into the
• Improve communication among employers,
AHRDAs and others.
• National Prospectors and Developers
is looking to increase its capacity with
Aboriginal Peoples.
• A Pan-Labrador Aboriginal website/
databanks should be established and
• Visitation of public service employers to
visit communities and to have AHRDAs
visit workplaces.
• Check into the viability of the development
group), which could have a membership
of consisting of companies, AHRDAs, and
training institutes.
• Suggest one main website for Labrador
AHRDAs that contains information and
contacts, which also could be a gateway to
a database.
Sandy Stevens, National Director, Aboriginal
