Services
JCC Transportation Service:
Door-to-door transportation to and from the MAR-JCC within boundaries is available. Free to Members & TQOL,
$20 for Non-Members and Silver Sneakers. For registration and information, call: (305) 932-4200, ext. 142. Funded
by the Alliance for Aging.
JCC Weekly Thursday Shopper’s Service:
Free grocery shopping transportation! Round trip door-to-door from your home to the Publix
Supermarket at Skylake Mall. Seating is on a first come-first served basis and boundaries apply.
Program is made possible through the Lorraine Fay Linder Grocery Shopping Transportation Fund for
Senior Citizens and Publix Supermarkets Charities. Reserve by Tuesday noon: (305) 932-4200, ext. 142.
In-house Intake Counselor:
A free service. Meet with the MAR-JCC’s intake counselor to either assess one’s physical and emotional needs
or to locate community resources. For a confidential appointment, call Galit Shemesh-Leibovici, MSW, at
(305) 932-4200, ext. 142.
Nutritional Hot Meals Program:
A free Kosher lunch is served at the MAR-JCC, Monday-Friday, at 11 am, to anyone age 60+.
Call Jewish Community Services for information and registration: (305) 899-8301. Transportation available within
boundaries.
Kosher Home-Delivered Meals:
For adults 60+. Each meal consists of 1/3 of the daily nutrition required for adults. Call Jewish Community
Services for information and registration: (305) 899-8301.
The “Quality of Life” – Senior Wellness Program (TQOL)
Chair: Carol Kaufman
TQOL is funded by the State of Florida through the Alliance for Aging, by Miami-Dade County, by the
United Way of Miami-Dade, and by the Health Foundation of South Florida. TQOL uses fitness and
exercise training to improve the ability of senior adults to perform necessary activities of daily living
and utilizes social events and educational programs to enhance and promote each participant’s
emotional wellness. The TQOL program is open to all year-round Florida residents over the age of 60.

TQOL also offers to its members, free monthly Monday health related lectures accompanied by light
