J-CAT Theatre Classes<br />

J-CAT Theatre Classes (Grade1-High School)<br />

All classes will participate in an end-of-season presentation for family and friends, and be taught by<br />

Ashley Blake Fisher, a recent addition to the J-CAT family. Ashley joins us from her home of the last 6 six years,<br />

Walt Disney World, where she performed as an actress, singer, and dancer. As a member of Actor's Equity<br />

Association, Ashley holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and has toured as a singer in over 110 cities spanning 6<br />

continents. As a teacher and director, she worked with the Patel Conservatory in Tampa, where she directed<br />

numerous shows, taught musical theatre and private voice.<br />

J-CAT Junior Theatre Classes:<br />

Broadway Junior (grades 1-5)<br />

Tuesday, 4-5pm • Early registration for Members only: $250 • Member - $275 / Associate Member - $345<br />

This introduction to Broadway class is for aspiring actors ages 5-10. Through theatre games, acting exercises, song, dance,<br />

props, and costumes, each kid has the chance to shine as a budding Broadway star!. Code: 15000<br />

Mind Your Manners (ages 5-9)<br />

Thursday, 4-5pm • Early registration for Members only: $250 • Member - $275 / Associate Member - $345<br />

This perfectly polite etiquette class is designed for boys & girls. We make learning manners fun in this life skills class that<br />

teaches confidence, table manners, proper phone etiquette, public speaking, introductions, thank-you notes, and more. Not<br />

only does this class help to refine social skills and behavior, but also assists to improve ‘theatricality” and over stage presence.<br />

J-CAT Intermediate/Advanced Classes:<br />

Broadway Bound (grades 6-12)<br />

Wednesday, 4-5pm • Early registration for Members only: $250 • Member - $275 / Associate Member - $345<br />

Musical Theatre for the budding Broadway star, this intermediate level course is designed to teach acting technique, vocal<br />

production, and musical theatre style dance. Each week, students will have the opportunity to learn the music, script, and<br />

choreography to a song/scene from a Broadway musical. Code: 15002<br />

J-Cabaret Troupe (by audition only) Ages 10 & up<br />

Monday, 4-6pm - Performance dates/times may vary • Requires year-long commitment<br />

Member - $325 / Associate Member - $410<br />

This audition-only touring troupe will be comprised of 10 advanced performers. Performers will work to develop musical<br />

numbers and scenes to take on “tour” to local condos, schools, performing arts venues, nursing homes, etc.<br />

To audition, prepare one song from the musical theatre repertoire with tracked/karaoke accompaniment. No acappella or<br />

music with vocals will be permitted. Come dressed to move. Bring a copy of your headshot/resume. Code: 15003<br />

J-CAT Sunday Workshop Series:<br />

In each of these one-time workshops, students will have the opportunity to try their hand at a number of different theatre<br />

enrichment courses. Limited registration. Per Workshop: $60-<strong>JCC</strong> Members • $75-Associate Members • $90-Non-Members<br />

Getting The Part: The Audition Workshop 11am-2pm • Ages 10 & up-August 28 • Ages 7 & up-December 11<br />

Features an interactive setting that takes students through the audition process from beginning to end. Learn about<br />

headshots/resumes, song and monologue selection, working with an accompanist, acting your song, scoring your<br />

monologue, cold readings, dealing with nerves, and more. Code: 15004<br />

Broadway 101: Become a Broadway Star! 11am-2pm • Ages 9 & up • October 23<br />

In this interactive song and dance workshop, students will work to learn the music and choreography to a song from a<br />

Broadway show. Sharpen your music and dance skills, and by the end of the workshop, we’ll have a song/dance number<br />

ready to be performed! Code: 15005<br />

Perfectly Princess Boot <strong>Camp</strong> 11am-12:30pm • Ages 4-7 • November 20<br />

Designed specifically for little princesses, this mommy & me workshop is a must for every princess in training. Learn proper<br />

curtseys, sipping tea, & perfectly princess manners. Includes interactive princess storytime. Girls may come dressed as their<br />

favorite princess and mommy’s are encouraged to participate! Snack & juice included. Code: 15006<br />
