Hebraica emphasizes the importance of promoting Jewish Identity, Jewish values, a
love for Israel, and the importance of family and community. Hebraica reaches out to
all segments of our diverse Jewish community through ongoing youth programs,
holiday celebrations and festivals, family activities, lectures, and seminars.
maccabi tzair, miami grades K-10
Maccabi Tzair Miami, a branch of Maccabi World Union, serves as one of the few “Jewish Youth Movements”
in our community. Through its programming, Jewish youth are engaged in activities promoting Jewish identity,
the People and Land of Israel, and Jewish socialization. Madrichim (Leaders) in our Youth Program are
graduates of our School of Madrichim, who have been trained to conduct social, cultural, educational, and
recreational activities with their Chanichim (group members) through varied peulot (activities).

Incorporates activities that promote Jewish life and tradition as well as those that embrace global awareness.
Mitzvah projects, educational and recreational trips, holiday celebrations, an overnight at the MAR-JCC, and
machanot* (overnight camping trips) are part of the overall program.

Is a one year leadership & adventure program that includes group building, mitzvah projects, field trips,
machanot, Jewish identity, and survival instruction. Program culminates with a boot camp experience.
Includes educational field trips (at an additional cost), mitzvah projects (community service letters), an
overnight, and machanot.*

Is a one year leadership program featuring the ‘Jewish Lens’- a gateway to the exploration and discovery of
Jewish identity, values, and peoplehood. Through the use of photography, our program enables the 9th grade
participants to establish their own link to Jewish identity.

Is a YEAR-LONG Leadership Training Program for high school sophomores that promotes Jewish identity and
develops young Jewish leaders to work with Jewish children and teens in our community. The SOM
culminates with a 4-week summer program in Israel for those who successfully fulfill the program’s
requirements.
