Children’s Holiday Affair
Join us in the Town Center on Thursday, December 10 at
6:30 p.m. Don’t miss out on Santa’s Special Arrival, Pictures
with Santa, Cookies and Milk, Coloring Contest and much
more. $6.00 per child, parents and guests are free. Sign up
and payment must be made at the Town Center window
by Tuesday, December 8. Please don’t wait until the last
minute. We want to make sure we have enough goodies for
all of the children. We are looking for a few bakers to make
this event a hit for the kids. If you wish to volunteer, please
call Michelle at 949-9909.
Hanukah Lighting!
Join us on Friday, December 11 at
sundown to light the Menorah. We will
gather in the Town Center main lobby for
this special occasion. No entry fee but we do
ask that you bring a themed dish or dessert
to share. Small plates, napkins, water and coffee will be
provided. Please RSVP to the Town Center by Thursday,
December 10 for planning purposes.
Festival of Lights
Join Expanding Horizons on Wednesday, December 16 as
we take a trolley ride to the Edison Estates Holiday Nights!
This Historic site prides itself on recreating the holiday
tradition in the days of the Edison and Ford families and their
hundreds of visitors. The historic buildings, porches, interior
rooms and the gardens are all seasonally decorated. This year,
there is a new spin - the lights will be brilliantly colored which
was the fashion and original design of the 1920’s. Even if you
have seen the Edison Home in the past, this year is going to
be even more amazing! Upon arrival back at the Town Center
join us for a holiday social. Please BYOB and any snacks/
holiday cookies you may wish to munch on! The trolley will
depart from the Bocce Courts at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive at 6:15
p.m. to check in. This evening out is only $25.00 per person.
Space is limited so please register at the HOA Office early.
Sunset Cruise on Cocohatchee
Enjoy a romantic evening out on the water while watching
the sun set in the distance. Join us on Sunday, December 20
as we set sail aboard the Cocohatchee Nature Centers sunset
cruise. Hors d’oeuvres on the patio deck will begin at 4:15
p.m. Cruise departs at 4:30 p.m. and returns at 7:00 p.m.
$26.00 per person for the Sunset Cruise which includes hors
d’oeuvres and gratuity. Please sign up at the HOA Office
window by Thursday, December 17 to reserve your seat.
You may BYOB on board the sunset cruise. Directions to the
nature center are available at the HOA Office window.
Ladies Christmas Tea
Join us on Wednesday, December 2 from
1:30-4:00 p.m. for this holiday event. You will be greeted
with a champagne reception in a beautiful, formal holiday
environment and have the opportunity to shop both before
and after a delicious, traditional tea presentation. This
tea benefits the Jamaican Outreach Program. For more

Living Christmas Tree
Join us on Sunday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. for this year’s
presentation called, “The Christmas Post”. Week after week,
year after year, decade into decade, The Saturday Evening
Post found its way into American homes and hearts. The
corner barbershop, the pediatrician’s waiting room, the lobby
of the local bank—the magazine was simply everywhere,
a part of the national decor. And gracing the cover, issue
after issue, was the wonderful world of Norman Rockwell.
In singular moments of triumph, whimsy and heartache,
Norman Rockwell captured the American spirit on canvas.
The postman, the sales girl, the soldier, the kid next door—he
painted us all—everyday Americans. Each picture was a story
about folks we knew and people we cared about—a story so
vivid you could practically see it come to life right there on the
cover of the Saturday Evening Post. So...What if it did come
to life What if you could just walk into the magical world of
a Rockwell painting The Christmas Post does just that. From
the moment the lights come up on Hattie McGee’s tiny news
hut on a snowy Christmas Eve in 1947, until the curtain falls
late that afternoon on the exhausted Alice Garfield in the toy
department of Herzog’s Department Store, The Christmas
Post takes us into a world of ordinary Americans who, just
like people today, need to rediscover their faith in Jesus and
be reminded of what Christmas is really all about. Tickets go
on-sale Tuesday, November 2. $8.50 each. Limited number of
seats available. Once they are gone, they are gone!
Angel/Shoe Tree
Come support our local charities this holiday season.
VillageWalk will be hosting an angel tree for two important
local charities, the Shoe that Fits and the Salvation Army.
The tree is centrally located in the Town Center and is full
of children in need. Please pick a child from the tree and
purchase a gift for them for the holidays. All gifts should
be received no later than Monday, December 14 by 4:00
p.m. Please drop your gifts off to the HOA or the Activities
Office with the child’s information attached. All gifts
should be unwrapped. If you have any questions please
