the Two-Game
Tradition Alive
Several EA alums suited up for
a practice and mixed with current
EA players on the ice for
the Blue and White game in
mid-December. Later in the week, the EA
alumni met Haverford’s alumni for the
3rd annual competition at the Skatium
in Havertown. This year’s turnout for
the EA/Haverford Alumni game was the
strongest yet! Despite the pre-game rally,
an early lead, and depth on the bench,
the EA alumni squad dropped a tough
game to the Haverford alums.

Regional
Receptions
Head of School, Ham Clark,
and Director of Alumni, Clayton
Platt ’73, had a lot to
share with alumni during the
fall and winter regional receptions. The
East Coast regional road show took the
two to the home of Betsy Smith ’84 and
Steve Hash in Rye, NY; the Harvard
Faculty Club in Cambridge, MA; the
Metropolitan Club in Washington, DC;
and the Williams Club in New York City.
With the new campus project fully underway
and interest about the new campus
continuing to grow, this year’s series of
events proved to be a great opportunity
to talk about what lies ahead as EA
moves west. The past was not forgotten,
however, and many EA faculty members
were present to share stories about days
gone by. Cannie Shafer, George Hebard,
Bob Parr, Lance Cave, and Anne Hall
joined the traveling Alumni Office to
spread the good word about EA in New
York and Boston.
