Step 6. Carefully place the ligature in the groove of the<br />

Plastibell. Ensure that it is in the correct position, then pull it<br />

tight and tie. Cut off the <strong>for</strong>eskin using scissors, leaving 1–<br />

2 mm of cuff to prevent the ligature from slipping off (Fig 6.13).<br />

Step 7. Snap off the handle of the Plastibell (Fig 6.14).<br />
