Valérie is a human rights lawyer <strong>and</strong> works for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Peoples</strong> Programme. She<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Quebec in Montreal, Canada, <strong>and</strong> an LLM at <strong>the</strong> European Academy <strong>of</strong><br />

Jérémie Gilbert<br />

Jérémie Gilbert is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Middlesex University in London (UK)<br />

Justin Kenrick<br />

Christopher Kidd<br />

Christopher Kidd received his MA in Anthropology at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Glasgow <strong>and</strong><br />

has recently completed his PhD at <strong>the</strong> same university. His research <strong>and</strong> work amongst<br />

<strong>the</strong> Batwa <strong>of</strong> south-west Ug<strong>and</strong>a focuses on <strong>the</strong> impact <strong>of</strong> development <strong>and</strong><br />

conservation initiatives on Batwa livelihoods <strong>and</strong> futures. Chris works for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Forest</strong><br />
