Chairman <strong>and</strong> Chief Executive<br />

<strong>The</strong> Chief Executive was appointed by the other members of the National Council with the approval of the Secretary of State<br />

<strong>for</strong> Business, Innovation <strong>and</strong> <strong>Skills</strong>. <strong>The</strong> other members of the National Council were appointed by the Secretary of State.<br />

<strong>The</strong> amount of the Chief Executive’s bonus was decided by the Remuneration Committee, which reviews per<strong>for</strong>mance against<br />

an annual personal responsibility plan agreed by the Chairman. <strong>The</strong> bonus was also approved by the Secretary of State.<br />

<strong>The</strong> LSC held no contracts with a notice period greater than 12 months.<br />
