drama and dance, develops students’ skills with a range of
workshops, led by some of the world’s leading practitioners.

Itinerary
Breakfast and dinner are included daily
Day 1: Depart – Flights depart Australia in the
morning and arrive in New York on the same day.
Orientation walking tour of the local area on arrival.
Overnight New York.
Day 2: New York Sightseeing – Enjoy a panoramic
coach and walking tour of New York’s highlights. See
a performance this evening at 59E59 Theaters, an Off
Broadway venue that features new, innovative and
invigorating work. Overnight New York.
Day 3: Dance and drama workshops begin – This
morning dance students attend their first class at
Alvin Ailey Studios. Drama students have a workshop
at Stella Adler Studios. This afternoon, relax on a
Circle Line cruise and see the Statue of Liberty.

Day 4: NYU – This morning both dance and drama
students will attend a talk at TISCH, New York
University’s School of the Arts, for information about
tertiary education and career development. Students
attend second workshops with either Alvin Ailey or
Stella Adler this afternoon. Overnight New York.
Day 5: Apollo Theater – Today is free for matinee or
other sightseeing. This evening attend Amateur Night
at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. The legendary venue
has launched the careers of icons such as Stevie
Wonder, Michael Jackson and Lauryn Hill and is a
popular arena for emerging and established African-
American performers. Overnight New York.
Day 6: This morning drama students attend an Acting
Audition workshop. Dancers return to Harlem for a
tour and class at the Dance Theater of Harlem. This
afternoon, explore the Chelsea and the Meatpacking
district and walk the ‘High Line’ park, created on an
abandoned industrial railway line. Overnight New York.
Day 7: Today both drama and dance students attend
a Musical Song and Movement class based on the
production students will see later. In the afternoon
enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Lincoln Center,
housing the main opera house and concert hall of
New York. Attend a major Broadway musical this
evening. Overnight New York.
Day 8: Rockefeller Center – This morning we tour
the NBC television studios at 30 Rockefeller Center
and then ascend to the ‘Top of the Rock’ viewing
platform for an unbeatable view over the city.

Day 9: Fly to LA – Panoramic coach tour on arrival.
This evening see a production at one of LA’s theatres.
Overnight Los Angeles.
Day 10: Workshops and Warner Bros – Drama
students participate in an ‘acting for film’ workshop
with renowned practitioner, Margie Haber. Dance
students will have a private class at The Edge Center
for Performing Arts. In the afternoon, students will
rendezvous for a back-lot tour of the Warner Bros
Studios. Overnight Los Angeles.
Day 11: Disneyland – One day park hopper pass to
Disneyland and California World in Anaheim.
Workshops are available for both dance and drama
groups. Overnight Los Angeles.
Day 12: Santa Monica – Visit Santa Monica Pier
entertainment and shopping district. Continue directly
to the airport as flights depart Los Angeles in the
evening.
Day 13: On flight – crossing the International Date
Line.
Day 14: Arrive Australia in the morning.
