Ask what two numbers (factors) can be multiplied together to make the answer<br />
(product) 30<br />
• 1 x 30 = 30<br />
• 2 x 15 = 30<br />
• 3 x 10 = 30<br />
• 5 x 6 = 30<br />
The factors of 30 are 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, and 30.<br />
Prime Numbers are numbers that have only two factors, one and the number<br />
itself.<br />
For example:<br />
• 2 = 1 x 2<br />
• 3 = 1 x 3<br />
• 5 = 1 x 5<br />
• 19 = 1 x 19<br />
