Vice President of Security<br />
9th NFL Season • 9th with <strong>Texans</strong><br />
Executives<br />
Ryan Reichert joined the <strong>Texans</strong> as director of<br />
security on October 7, 1999, one day after the<br />
NFL awarded its 32nd franchise to <strong>Houston</strong>. He<br />
was promoted to vice president of security in<br />
January, 2008.<br />
Reichert serves as a liaison between the <strong>Texans</strong><br />
and federal, state and local law enforcement<br />
agencies. He is responsible for draft day<br />
preparations by conducting personal interviews<br />
and background checks of all draft eligible collegiate<br />
athletes entering the NFL draft. He is also<br />
responsible for overseeing the personal security<br />
of <strong>Texans</strong> players and their families and security<br />
aspects related to team events, player appearances,<br />
and team travel.<br />
Reichert a former <strong>Houston</strong> police officer, served<br />
nearly 10 years with the department before assuming<br />
his current post with the <strong>Texans</strong>. During<br />
his tenure with the <strong>Houston</strong> Police Department,<br />
he was assigned to the Westside Command<br />
Substation as a patrolman and finished his<br />
career with the department’s community service<br />
division, where he was responsible for the development<br />
and implementation of various community<br />
involvement initiatives, as well as serving<br />
the police department as a public speaker.<br />
Reichert is an alumnus of several Texas universities.<br />
He graduated from Angelo State University,<br />
located in San Angelo, Texas with a bachelor’s<br />
degree in sociology and a minor in criminal<br />
justice. He received his master’s degree in<br />
Criminology from the University of <strong>Houston</strong>-Clear<br />
Lake, and earned his MBA from Rice University.<br />
Reichert hails from Jourdanton, Texas, just south<br />
of San Antonio.<br />
John Schriever<br />
Vice President, Ticket Operations<br />
9th NFL Season • 9th with <strong>Texans</strong><br />
John Schriever is entering his ninth year with the<br />
<strong>Texans</strong> and his 25th in the professional sports<br />
industry. During his career, Schriever has been<br />
part of the sales and service of more than 32 million<br />
tickets to sporting events. He started with the<br />
<strong>Texans</strong> in July, 2000 as director of ticket operations<br />
and was promoted to vice president in July,<br />
2003. Schriever oversees all aspects of ticketing<br />
for the <strong>Texans</strong>, including the sales and service of<br />
PSLs, suites, club seats, season tickets, group<br />
and individual game tickets.<br />
Schriever began his sports business career<br />
with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club in 1984<br />
as a season ticket sales intern. Schriever was<br />
promoted to director of ticket operations before<br />
the 1989 season. During his 12 seasons with the<br />
Rangers, the team was purchased by an ownership<br />
group headed by George W. Bush, acquired<br />
pitcher Nolan Ryan, closed Arlington Stadium,<br />
opened The Ballpark in Arlington and hosted the<br />
1995 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.<br />
During the summer of 1996, Schriever worked<br />
with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic<br />
Games at the Summer Olympics. He worked<br />
in ticketing as a customer service manager at<br />
Fulton County Stadium and Olympic Stadium.<br />
Following the Olympic Games, Schriever took<br />
the position of director of tickets for Texas<br />
Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth. He was part of the<br />
management staff that opened the Speedway in<br />
the spring of 1997. The speedway debuted that<br />
year with a crowd of over 200,000 for its inaugural<br />
Winston Cup race.<br />
Schriever is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin<br />
State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where<br />
he earned a degree in business management.<br />
John and his wife, Dana, who holds a degree in<br />
teaching from the University of Texas, have two<br />
children, Nicholas and Sarah.<br />
