interviewee. On the other hand, there are only 33 respondents in the young people<br />

group (age between 25 and 40) and 30 respondents in the high age people group (age<br />

above 40), which only account for about 27% and 24% respectively. The youngest<br />

respondent is 13 years old and the oldest is 57 years old. The mean age of respondent<br />

is about 33 years old.<br />

For marital status, Among the 122 respondents, 69 of them (57%) are single<br />

while 53 of them (43%) are married.<br />

For the education level, 11 people (9%) have an education level of primary<br />

school or lower. Twenty-seven people (22.1%) have an education level of Form 1 to<br />

Form 5. Twenty respondents have an education level of Form 6 to Form 7.<br />

Twenty-one people have an education level of diploma or associate degree.<br />

Forty-three respondents (35.2%), which are the largest group of people, have an<br />

education level of university or above.<br />

The household income in <strong>West</strong> New Territories is not as high as in urban<br />

areas. But it is surprising that the household income of respondents is not as low as<br />

we expected. Twenty-seven people (22.1%) have a household income below $15000.<br />

Fifty-four people’s (44.3%) household income is between $15000 and $29999.<br />

Thirty-six people’s (29.5%) household income is between $30000 and $59999.Only<br />

two people’s (1.6%) household income is between $60000 and $119999 and $120000<br />
