2009 in review Student placement Under the Co-Op programme in 2009, 1,372 students from 20 degree courses were placed with 819 employers. The highest number of placements were of students in Bachelor’s degrees in the food science & nutrition courses, followed by (in descending order) biotechnology, mass communications, accounting & finance, business administration and psychology. Placements were held over four terms in January, May, September and November. Slightly more than half the total placements took place in November. 2009 in review Student evaluation When surveyed, 98% of Co-Op students said they enjoyed the Co-Op programme, with more than half (52%) giving a ‘good’ rating to their employers and almost one-third (29%) rating it ‘excellent’. 80% expressed interest in returning to the same employer in future while 95% would recommend them to other students for future Co-Op placements.
